Modern gas furnaces are designed to be ultra-safe. But if you have a crack, hole or split in what’s called the “heat exchanger” - that WILL compromise the safety of your furnace, and means you need to replace the heat exchanger. That's according to strict industry standards and guidelines. You can count on Central Oregon Heating & Cooling Inc. to find such cracks, holes and splits if they exist. And because of our one-of-a-kind guarantee, you can also feel confident that we’re telling you the truth when we recommend that you replace your heat exchanger.
Central Oregon Heating & Cooling Inc. guarantees all of our heat exchanger diagnoses: if one of our highly trained technicians condemns your furnace due to a crack, hole or split and our diagnosis is found to be incorrect, we will install a brand-new furnace for you, FREE of charge. It’s that simple. And it’s just another reason you can trust in Central Oregon Heating & Cooling Inc. (*See terms and conditions on the back)
In order to keep your family safe, we invest in the most up-to-date training and follow the most current industry standards. Unfortunately, most other contractors have not invested in the training or diagnostic tools, like combustion analyzers, necessary to find all of the safety defects in modern gas furnaces. Think about that.
Then think about this: The field staff at Central Oregon Heating & Cooling Inc. are certified in Heat Exchanger inspection by Heat Exchanger Experts (heatexchangerexperts.com), one of the only industry organizations to offer this training and certification. All of that training can go a long way in keeping you, your home and your family safe. (See further details on the back)
For your safety, we follow the industry guidelines as established by nationally recognized industry associations like (1) the American Gas Association (AGA)www.aga.org, and (2) the Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI)www.ahrinet.org, along with (3) internationally adopted codes (2009 International Fuel Gas Code).
(1) Air Conditioning Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI): “Visually Inspect Heat Exchanger. Disassemble the Furnace until you can visually inspect all heat exchanger exterior surfaces. Any crack or hole that is big enough to affect combustion will be easily visible to the naked eye.” “If there are any abnormal splits, cracks or holes, the heat exchanger must be replaced.”
(2) American Gas Association (AGA): “Any visible crack or hole discovered is reason to require replacement of the heat exchanger or furnace.”
(3) International Fuel Gas Code (2009 IFGC): “If it is determined that there is a condition that could result in unsafe operation, shut off the appliance and advise the owner of the unsafe condition.”
Because of the specialized training of the staff at Central Oregon Heating & Cooling Inc., you can count on us to identify any failures in your furnace that could compromise the safety of your home and your family.
