Heat pumps provide year-round comfort and save considerable energy by moving heat in or out of your home, depending on the season. Because heat pumps move heat instead of generating it, these systems are highly efficient. Receive cash incentives and lower your energy costs when you upgrade your electric heating system to a high-efficiency heat pump.
The following incentive is available for single-family and manufactured homes when upgrading from an electric furnace, baseboard heat, a wall heater or ceiling heat:
Efficient heat pump $700 Heating seasonal performance factor (HSPF) 8.5 or greater
Heat pump controls $250 – Controls must be included in Energy Trust’s list of qualifying products.* Controls must either have an outdoor temperature sensor and be configured with a 35°F furnace lockout, or be a qualified web-enabled model that is connected to the internet. This incentive can be combined with the $700 heat pump incentive.
*If you have questions about the eligibility of a thermostat model that is not on the qualified products list, please contact us at Central Oregon Heating, Cooling & Plumbing (541) 516-6316.
Heat pump must be used as the primary heat source. Ductless heat pumps (also called mini-splits) do not qualify for this incentive.
Incentives are subject to funding availability and may change.
Incentives are not intended to influence consumer decisions on fuel sources.
